We named our publishing company Sweet Medicine Music. We call our house, The Sweet Medicine House.
So what is Sweet Medicine? For us, it's whatever is good to you. It's what nourishes your soul. Our own Sweet Medicine is good love, good laughter, good song, good food, good drink, good friends! Our philosophy, of course, is influenced by the wonderful people of Italy. One of our favorite places to visit!
Since marrying fifteen years ago, we have had many great opportunities to entertain some
of the people I work with. Here's one of my specialties that has been
enjoyed by everyone from Neil Young to the boys from Primal Scream.
WAYNE'S WORLD FAMOUS CHILI
This is one of our fall
favorites.
1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
1 15oz. can light red kidney beans
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 package McCormick's mild chili seasoning
Dice up onion and bell pepper. Put ground beef and half and half of
the onions and bell peppers in skillet and brown on medium heat.
When done, drain grease out of the skillet until the ingredients seem dry.
Put the skillet back over on medium heat and add in additional ingredients
including remaining onions and bell peppers, stirring often. Then
cover and reduce to low heat to simmer.
